Adventure within Adventure

Tomorrow evening I'll be departing Jakarta, my home for the past 4 weeks and 1 day, and heading to Papua!  This is one of the many things I have been looking forward to since this whole journey began on May 1.  Many people go to Papua for the beaches and scuba diving, but I will be there to see something even more amazing.  After many years of waiting, the people in this language group will receive the written NT in their own language for the first time.  I have the honor of attending the dedication!
I only know a little about what to expect on the trip.  You've heard that Texas is a country all it's own?  That's what they say about Jakarta.  So I'm anxious to see the "real" Indonesia!

SCHEDULE
June 25 late-night flight from Jakarta that arrives in Sentani next AM
June 26 recover, overnight in a small guesthouse in Sentani
June 27 fly to Serui, overnight at a simple hotel
June 28 Dedication in Serui (midday at an outdoor venue), overnight at same hotel
June 29 trip up the mountain (stay in village house for next 3 nights)
June 30 Dedication in Ambaidiru
July 1 “free day” in the village: roam, take pictures, talk to Yawas
July 2 trip down the mountain, fly back to Sentani, overnight at same guesthouse
July 3 fly back to Jakarta

You can pray for the safe travel of everyone involved - 21 Americans coming and going.  We are starting our malaria meds tomorrow and will continue for the next 30 days (apparently, the malaria germ can survive that long).  We will be covered in bug spray to ward off dengue mosquitoes during the day and malaria mosquitoes at night.  Most of all, we pray that God is glorified!  Amen anyone?
